2025-2026 School Photos
School photos will be taken the week of Nov 3-7 at Homeschool Plus. Photos are $5 and include professional capture, editing, and publication in the yearbook. You will have options to purchase digitals or prints after photos are taken. If you prefer to instead take your own child's photo, with the same background, you are welcome to do so briefly at a time when the studio set is not otherwise being used. Contact Danelle Frisbie to arrange to do so.
Please find a photo sheet by family folders at the front counter, or email or text to receive this photo sheet sent to you digitally to print. Every child (and teacher) whose photo is taken needs a photo sheet prior to having your photo taken. If you prefer to take your own child's photo, send their picture to Danelle Frisbie no later than December 1 with their name spelled as you'd like it to appear in the yearbook. If you are taking your own child's photo, you do *not* need a photo sheet. Students in Tues STEM+ Adventures will have photos taken briefly during class Tues, Nov 4. Students in Wednesday Theatre classes, STEM+ Adventures, Media, Kids' Quest, and Biology will have school photos taken during class Wed, Nov 5. CORE Language Arts students will have school photos taken between 12:00-1:00 Thurs, Nov 6. If your child is in multiple classes listed above, plan to have their photo taken on the first class day listed above. If your child is not in any of these classes, please sign up for a time to have your photo taken during the available times below by texting or emailing Mrs. Frisbie.
Your child can leave class briefly to have their photo taken, or sign up for a time outside class time. An adult will help young children leave/return to class. Please email HomeschoolPlusYearbook@gmail.com or text 319-504-1460 if your child will be stepping out of class for their photo. School photos will take less than 5 minutes.
• Photos are taken at this time of day because over many years experience taking thousands of school portraits, Danelle has found the best, natural smiles are captured when kids have gotten into their day with friends and are relaxed. The end result for parents' keepsake photos is significantly better with afternoon photos. Danelle will help tidy hair and ensure no spills show. If you prefer a non-class time, you're welcome to choose a different day or time for a photo or take a morning picture yourself.
The $5 school photo cost can be prepaid (Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, AppleCash, check/cash, etc.) or dropped in an envelope to Mrs. Frisbie with your child's name on the envelope.

• Solid colors for a shirt look best for these portraits. Avoid "busy" prints, stripes, clashing colors, and images/graphics/words. Only waist up is visible in yearbook photos. If you wear flip flops and shorts, or have messy hands and feet - no one will know! If you prefer that your child has a full-length photo taken for a second pose, with a sibling, instrument, pet, etc., please let Danelle know or write this on their photo sheet.
• Small items like a food spill, pimples, etc. will be edited out of your final photo before going to print. If you have any area of concern, please make note of this on your photo sheet or share with Danelle, as she is skilled at editing photos for special requests.
• If none of the time slots work for your child, or you prefer a non-school day for photos, there are additional options in Virginia Beach. Email HomeschoolPlusYearbook@gmail.com or text 319-504-1460 for another day/time.
• Digital photos are sent via email as high resolution files for you to print or use in any way you wish. Prints are delivered the first week of December, unless you request to have them earlier (before Thanksgiving break).
